Prospectuses from 1922 praising the "since 1919 successful twin-cylinder motorcycle Star " on. How many items were constructed in the early years, we can only guess. Due to the sophisticated design of the little engineer HFGünther it should not have been too many have survived to this day only a few. Referred to in the first few years of production "Star" motorcycle undergoes various modifications by the new chief engineer.

Der größte Werbeerfolg aber war die Fernfahrt Berlin-Kairo-Berlin, die 1927 Alfred Gäbelmann und Dr. W. Spohr mit einem D-Rad unternahmen. Gäbelmann war seit 1921 Motorradrennfahrer und D-Rad-Vertreter in Leipzig. Er wollte mit einer Serienmaschine mit Beiwagen über den Balkan und durch den Orient fahren, wo er als Kraftfahrer im Ersten Weltkrieg an der Suezfront 1915 gedient hatte.
