2. Greeves 250cc Anglian Trials
|
The Greeves Anglian was a benchmark for performance and reliability for a Trials machine. The Anglian was available with the standard leading link forks and/or for about $50.00 more, a Ceriani telescopic model was also available. Traditional Greeves riders preferred the leading link, while newer riders preferred the telescopic fork. |

3. Greeves 250cc Challenger 1967
|
Greeves was by far the most popular off-road 2-stroke in America in the early 1960’s. With its Earl’s type forks and aluminum I-beam frame, Greeves was easily distinguished from other brands. This example, the 1967 Challenger was at the beginning of the end, so to speak in the popularity of the Greeves motorcycle. As motocross mania swept America, the lighter-weight Husky’s and CZ’s became the tool of choice. |

In excess of six thousand hours of design and development work have been expended into the new bike in order to provide the ultimate riding experience.
The new Greeves 280cc Trials bike comprises our own manufacture aluminium frame, typical Greeves headstock CNC'd from solid billet together with the footrest hangers and swinging arm. The fan and radiator are set back 30mm from the front, enabling debris to fall out and not overheat the engine by blocking air to the engine or the radiator. |

11. Greeves Sportsman: A missed opportunity
|
Even a passing glance at the Greeves "Sportsman" is a depressing experience. Everything about the bike is crude and amateurish, based on the bare minimum needed to scrape by rather than a credible attempt to produce a quality motorcycle. Viewed against contemporary opposition, the Greeves is of an appalling standard. Yet it need not have been so. |
