Steve,
Thanks for the review. I first took a test ride on a Tornado in 2004. Everything you described were my sentiments exactly.
6 years later, I purchased a 2005 RS which will be arriving from England to me this week. I can't wait. Date: 14 Apr 2010 NB: Site owner must log in to access reviewers contact details.

Please dont believe everything you read in the bike magazines about Benelli bikes. I have owned a lot of Japanese sport bikes and could never really get comfortable with them for anumber of reasons.
I then bought myself an Benelli Rs tornado. Oh my !!! This has to be the closest thinf to a nike being alive that has ever been produced.
1 It sings like an italian opear star.
2 It handles better than anything I have ever ridden. That is a lot of bikes !!
3 The reliability is not an issue anymore, infact on the Rs model it never has been !!.
4 Never have I had so many people look at this bike and just dribble at its looks, this haes to be the sexiest motorcycle evr made to date.
5 In the Uk you can buy these new for an absolute gift at the moment. Prices will rise though as the bikes that are for sale in the uk are new bike stock that was returned rom thr US as it did not meet with regulations.
6 Just try this bike once and you will be hooked I was.
