Yamaha is beating the Italians at their own game, says Olly Duke

Yamaha gave the Italian scooter industry a hearty snub by launching its all-new Majesty 250 in the romantic resort of Amalfi, just south of Naples. The Japanese firm's confidence is well-founded. This year both the 125 and 250 Majestys took top sales slots in their classes, in the country where scooter sales have rocketed by 71 per cent since 1998.
